I have been working/teaching/coaching in the local health and fitness industry for over 20 years.
I am married with 3 semi-grown children. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family. Downtown Wake Forest has had my heart for years, and I am so excited about its recent growth and the addition of NOURISH! I am invested in our community and looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the health and wellness of others.
My philosophies:
-For me, fitness is just one aspect of health and wellness. Most importantly is the relationship with self as far as awareness of one’s needs, and abilities and even the importance of honoring our limits/boundaries.
-Recognizing the relationship between physical health and mental health is key.
-Philosophies and best practices are constantly morphing and changing, but I believe that non-food diets are impactful. What we allow into our own sacred spaces (in addition to the foods we eat) like things we read and watch, and the people we spend time with MATTER. These are the ways we NOURISH our lives.
-Consistency is key and perfection is over-rated.
-Friendships and fun are wonderful fitness supports.
